RUNNING JOURNEY

My first ever ultra was the Georgia S2S 50k in 2019 and absolutely fell in love with ultras. The sense of community, camaraderie and support during these events (primarily RUN BUM events) is magical. Everybody involved is like your best friend that you’ve known for years, yet more than likely you’ve only met 5 minutes ago. It’s so special to be a part of that.

I’ve run one road marathon and anything that distance (and over) has been exclusively on the trails. I love tough rugged scenic mountain races and every one of Sean’s I’ve done have checked all those boxes (except Forgotten FL, which was epic in its own ways)

I do my best to volunteer as much as possible at these races because I know how much it means to those running. The perks are nice, but I truly enjoy the act for what it is and would do it regardless. I also love making videos of these races to help showcase these amazing events, but more importantly to always have something to look back on and remember them by. Each one is truly just so special.

Even if I don’t get chosen as an ambassador (probably won’t) I just wanna say without you/y’all and everything you do for us runners I certainly would not have ‘caught the big’ as I have. I’ve heard of horror stories of first time ultras, but I was fortunate to have mine be a Run Bum event and I thank you so much. Y’all are some of the hardest working RD’s I’ve ever seen and just wanted to give you a huge shoutout for it.

RUNNING GOALS

I’ve just officially signed up for my first 100 miler coming up soon in October!
