I started out running in 2010 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was stage 2 and had spread to lymph nodes. I was unable to work or be in the gym due to the type of chemo I received. I started walking and then jogging and ran my first 5k 3 days after finishing my last chemo. It mushroomed from there and I started running longer distances and traveling for races. I recently found your races and am excited for the upcoming Helen Holiday and Grayson Highlands. As soon as Brasstown opens I am registering and have already talked a friend into joining me. 🙃 Your posts are motivational and I look forward to more races in the future.
