All races take place on the New River Trail in Fries, Virginia. The New River Trail is a crushed gravel rails to trail that runs alongside the New River. You run through beautiful forested sections along the river during peak fall colors in mid October. You run over many historic old train trestles and pass by several cascades and waterfalls on the river. The New River Trail is mostly flat with the exception of some small hills no steeper than a 1%grade and extremely smooth, non technical running. This course is a great first time 100 or 50 mile distance or a great place to try and PR!!
For 2024 only the course will be a 25 mile out and back that you do twice for the 100 mile. For the 50 mile you will do this out and back once. The 10 miler is also an out and back.
