QUICK FACTS:
-both 5 mile and 10 mile races are single loops
-new for 2023- Both races will npw start at the same time!

-approximately 1.3 miles into the race, the courses will split. We will have someone there to direct runners.

-the 10 mile will rejoin the 5 mile route approximately 6.5 miles into the race

-the first 1.3 miles on the 10 mile will be double track to allow the runners to spread out, and the first 1.6 miles of the 5 miler will be double track to do the same

COURSE UPDATES:
-Due to a large increase in Georgia State Park fees, we had to move this event outside of Sweetwater Creek State Park for 2023. The new race is 10 minutes on I-20 West past the previous location. We love our new venue, however we hope to reach an agreement with Ga State Parks to return to Sweetwater for our 2024 Yeti NIGHTmare Trail Race.

-The race route at our new venue is easier, we think, than the previous editions.

-The new route is a mixture of fun single track with rolling hills and some roots and rocks along the way.

-The 5 mile race is exactly 5 miles. The 10 mile event, will likely read slightly more or less on GPS due to many twists and turns.

TIPS:
-You WILL need trail shoes! Almost all major running stores in metro Atlanta sell trail running shoes. Please invest for your safety!

-You must have a headlamp. We recommend 300 lumen or brighter headlamp

-Headlamp must be fully charged, and if battery operated, we recommend installing fresh new batteries pre race.
